2023 Chevrolet Tahoe
If you want a large SUV that delivers capable performance plus a combination of cabin space, safety ratings, and reliability, put the 2023 Chevrolet Tahoe on the top of your list. It costs less than most rivals and still offers an impressive array of standard features, making it a terrific value in the class. Learn more about the Tahoe and why it's a top contender for your next new vehicle.
Trim Levels (Exterior)
Chevy released the 2023 Tahoe in six trims: High Country, Premier, Z71, RST, LT, and the base LS. For the new model year, you can choose from a palette of three new paint colors that compliment this SUV's rugged appearance, including Sterling Gray Metallic, Radiant Red Tintcoat, and Silver Sage Metallic. You'll also love the optional black grille with the brand name spelled out in all caps.
Engine (Power)
Like every previous generation, a big V-8 powers the 2023 Tahoe. This model features a standard 5.3-liter setup that produces 355 horsepower. There's also the available 6.2-liter option that makes 420 horses. A 3.0-liter diesel also joins the pair, and no matter which engine you pick, it mates well with Chevrolet's smooth-shifting 10-speed automatic transmission. If fuel efficiency tops your priority list, go for the available diesel engine. It delivers an EPA estimate of 28 mpg on the highway. Both V-8s put up ratings of 20 mpg highway, which isn't bad for such a large vehicle.
Performance
Chevy designed the 2023 Tahoe to move people and luggage, but that doesn't mean it doesn't have a few tricks up its sleeve. It does a decent job off the beaten path, especially when you opt for the Z71 trim. This variant offers extras that make four-wheel-driving more fun, like a two-speed transfer case, 20-inch wheels wrapped with all-terrain tires, underbody protection, and adaptive dampers. You'll also get air springs that allow you to lower or raise your Tahoe's ride height. In addition, the Z71 Signature package includes a whole host of desirable features, including upgraded towing equipment.
Interior
The new Tahoe boasts a spacious interior compared to other SUVs. Its three rows of adult-friendly seats are standard, and the second row conveniently slides out of the way to provide easy access to the back. Its low, flat load floor makes it ideal for hauling stuff. Fold both rows down and utilize this SUV's 123 cubic feet of cargo room for just about anything.
Chevy's robust infotainment and connectivity features make the Tahoe an attractive choice for the techies in the family. Every trim features a 10.2-inch touchscreen that the manufacturer outfitted with Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, and a Wi-Fi hotspot. There's also an available rear-seat entertainment system featuring a couple of 12.6-inch display screens.
Safety Features
The 2023 Tahoe offers a loaded roster of standard driver-assistance technologies. You'll feel confident with the help of forward collision warning, pedestrian detection, lane departure warning, lane keep assist, and forward automatic emergency braking. There's also equipment like a rearview camera, automatic high-beam headlights, and rain-sensing windshield wipers. You can also add additional optional features like blind spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert.
