The new 2022 Chevrolet Silverado comes in eight trim levels: the WT, the Custom, the LT, the RST, the Custom Trail Boss, the LT Trail Boss, the LTZ, and the High Country. Each of these eight trims comes in a four-wheel-drive (4WD) version of the vehicle, though only six come with a two-wheel drive (2WD) option: the WT, the Custom, the LT, the RST, the LTZ, and the High Country. With four engines to choose from, you may wonder what the hauling capacity of each is. The hauling capacity of each engine is 9,500 pounds for the first two engines, 9,200 pounds for the third engine, and 9,000 pounds for the fourth engine. Regardless of which trim level you choose, the suspension is an independent system for the front wheels and a solid axle for the rear wheels. The truck can also support an on-vehicle payload of 2,185 pounds to 2,285 pounds, depending on the trim level.

The interior of the 2022 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 includes a 12-volt power outlet, assist handles, Bluetooth capabilities, and a standard six-gauge instrumentation cluster, and an outside temperature display. The truck also has power door locks, power windows, and a rear seat occupancy warning system.

All trim levels for the 2022 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 include six standard air bags, daytime running lamps, an automatic stability and traction control system, and a tire pressure monitoring system.
