The 2023 Silverado 1500 comes in nine trim levels: LTZ, High Country, RST, ZR2, LT Trail Boss, LT, Custom Trail Boss, Custom, and WT. The base WT has a sculpted hood, a boxy, muscular profile, a large grille with the Chevy bowtie symbol near the hood, and skid plates. It also comes with 12 cargo tie-down points, 17-inch wheels, all-season tires, daytime running lights, and a 120-volt power outlet. Standard, short, and long sizes for the truck bed are available. You can also select crew, regular, or double cab sizes.
With the WT, you can add all-terrain tires, mud-terrain tires, or 18-inch wheels. You can also choose 4-inch, black, and round assist steps, 6-inch black or chrome assist steps, LED lights for the truck bed, a spray-on bedliner, tinted glass, heated power side mirrors, and front and rear splash guards. The Custom trim level comes with 20-inch wheels. With the LT, the RST, the LTZ, and the High Country, you can get 22-inch wheels. The ZR2 and higher trim levels have power-folding, auto-dimming side mirrors. With the High Country, you can add a sunroof and power-retractable assist steps.
Engine (Power)
The WT comes with a four-cylinder, turbocharged, 2.7-liter engine that provides 310 horsepower and 430 pound-feet of torque. It uses an eight-speed automatic transmission. With the WT, you can also choose a 5.3-liter EcoTec V-8 with 355 horsepower and 383 pound-feet of torque. With the RST, LT Trail Boss, ZR2, LTZ, and High Country, you can pick a 6.2-liter V-8 that provides 420 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque.
With the Custom Trial Boss, LT, RST, LT Trail Boss, LTZ, or High Country, you can select a 3.0-liter, Duramax turbo diesel engine that offers 305 horsepower and 495 pound-feet of torque. These three motors use a 10-speed automatic transmission.
Performance
The Silverado 1500 has excellent acceleration, power steering, and a brake pad wear indicator. It gets 18 mpg in urban areas and 21 mpg on larger roads. It can tow 13,300 pounds and carry 2,260 pounds.
Interior
The interior of the WT includes keyless entry, a 7-inch touchscreen, a 12-volt power outlet, folding front and rear seats, an outdoor temperature display, a 3.5-inch driver information center, and a six-speaker audio system.
