Pataskala, OH, is a close-knit and friendly community that works together to create fantastic local attractions for everyone to enjoy. Get in behind the wheel of a Chevy Trax, Trailblazer, or Traverse and experience all the excitement the town has to offer.

1. Mead Needham Museum

The West Licking Historical Society, Inc created the Mead Needham Museum in a beautiful 1890s home at 300 South Main Street in Pataskala. The museum is named after the first residents that resided in the house, with the last owner being the editor of the Pataskala Standard, W. S. Needham. In his weekly newspaper, he shared stories, memories, and facts about the townspeople, a valuable source of the area’s local history.

Today, his home tells the story of the town’s origins and the area’s history through a fascinating collection of artifacts, including photographs and documents. Admission to the museum is free, but donations are greatly appreciated.

2. Pataskala Community Pool

During the summer months, the Pataskala Community Pool, built in 1972 by volunteers from the community in Municipal Park at 550 Township Road, is the most popular spot in town. In 2012, over 400 volunteers got together again to restore the pool with the help of 30 local businesses, service organizations, and churches.

Everyone heads to the sparkling pool on hot days to cool off, and there’s even a baby pool for the little ones and always lifeguards on duty. Spread your towel on the grassy area to soak up the sun, relax in the shade under the covered pavilion, and enjoy a variety of eats and treats at the concession stand.

3. Sterling Theater

Sterling Theater, the town’s historic community theater, is located in the town hall, an important Pataskala landmark with great architectural and historical significance at 430 South Main Street.

The Historic Pataskala Town Hall, Inc., formed by members of the community, restored the hall, and now it is a welcoming gathering place that aims to offer a wide range of innovative, one-of-a-kind experiences, from arts and entertainment to cultural and educational events throughout the year that will appeal to all the area’s residents.

4. Foundation Park

Foundation Park, Pataskala’s largest city park, at 10255 McIntosh Road, spreads over 78 acres, including 22 acres of scenic woodlands that can be explored on the scenic one-mile trail that winds through the mature forest along a babbling stream. The 1.4-mile gravel perimeter trail skirts the park’s soccer fields, home to the Pataskala Youth Soccer Program, baseball diamonds, and two playgrounds.

There’s also a lovely fishing pond, gaga pit, picnic spots, and shelter houses. The park hosts the annual Outdoor Adventure Day with fishing, archery, and various environmental science activities, the yearly Easter Egg Hunt, and a firework show every July.

Pataskala has many exciting attractions, from learning more about the local history and taking a dip in the community pool to attending a stage production and exploring the town’s lush woodlands.
