A black 2023 Chevrolet Malibu.

The Chevy Malibu returns in 2023 with a choice of four trims. While the design of the vehicle itself hasn’t changed from the 2022 offering, Chevy has made some important changes to the trim levels on offer. In this guide, you’ll discover the key highlights of each trim level so you can choose the best one for you.

LS

All four trim levels of the 2023 Malibu come with the same 163-hp turbocharged four-cylinder engine. That means you’ll get the same power from the base-level LS trim as you will with the more expensive trim levels. You can expect to get 27 miles per gallon in the city and 35 miles per gallon on the highway with this engine.

The LS trim comes with the Chevy Safety Assist package as standard. This will allow you and your passengers to be better protected with every journey you take. The most notable features of this package include automated emergency braking with pedestrian detection, lane-departure warning with lane-keeping assist, and adaptive cruise control.

RS

The RS trim level adds some extra style to your Malibu on the inside and out. You’ll get larger 18-inch wheels, dual exhaust outlets, black mirror caps, heated side mirrors, a power sunroof, a chrome grille surround, plus heated driver and front passenger seats.

LT

The LT trim adds dual-zone automatic climate control, remote engine start, LED daytime running lamps, and a power-adjustable driver’s seat as standard. Motorists might be persuaded to invest in some of the optional packages that are available with this trim, too.

The Driver Confidence package will add a blind-spot monitor and rear cross-traffic alert. There are also three special edition designs available with this trim; Midnight edition, Sport edition, and Redline edition. These each come with flashy exterior accessories such as front and back bowtie emblems, a blacked-out grille, and a black nameplate.

2LT

The 2LT trim is brand new for 2023. It is available with all the features of the LT trim and the ability to upgrade to one of the three special edition models. On top of that, it adds 19-inch aluminum wheels, LED headlamps, and a larger Chevrolet Infotainment 3 system as standard.

Your passengers can also expect an extra level of comfort because the 2LT trim features six-way power passenger seats as standard.
