There are lots of fun things to do in Pataskala, OH that everyone in the family can enjoy. But when you’re especially looking to please the little ones, you will find several kid-friendly activities. See the list below for where your next adventure might take you.
1. Blacklick Woods Nature Center
The kids will love this nature center that offers lots of activities, walking trails, and learning experiences. Meander the trails, read the plaques, and learn about the local wildlife and plants. The park rangers also offer programs, like Tots on Trails. When you visit the indoor part of the nature center, you’ll find educational activities, a large amphibian tank, books, puzzles, and even toys for the younger kids. Admission is free for everyone.
The Blacklick Woods Nature Center is located at 6975 East Livingston Ave. in Reynoldsburg, just a few miles from Pataskala.
2. Freedom Park
Pack your sandwiches, burgers, and veggies trays and take advantage of the picnic pavilion here at Freedom Park. There is a playground with swings, slides, and monkey bars for the kids, and a soccer field where you can work up a sweat. Bring your golf clubs and enjoy a few swings, or fly a kite with the kiddos. You can easily have the place to yourself as it doesn’t get very busy.
Dogs are allowed as well; just be sure to pick up after them. The park also makes a nice place to host a birthday party or other celebration. You can find the park at 5261 Taylor Rd. SW., and it is open seven days a week from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.
3. Urban Air Trampoline and Adventure Park
Kids of all ages will simply love this indoor play park, which boasts so much more than just trampolines. They also have a climbing wall, zip lines, go-karts, an obstacle course, a tumble track where the kids can practice their gymnastic tricks, a large inflatable airbag to practice flips and twists, a last-person-standing wipeout, virtual reality games, a ropes course, a sky rider, slides, dodgeball, and more.
When everyone gets tired and needs some energy, stop by the cafe for a slice of pizza and an Icee. We recommend that you plan at least half a day to spend here. Tickets range from $11.99 to $30.99, depending on what package you’d like. Urban Air is located at 6314 E. E. Livingston Ave. in Reynoldsburg, just outside of Pataskala, and they are open every day.
