The 2023 Chevy Blazer is a very stylish model offering upgraded technology like a 10.2-inch touchscreen. The available V6 engine gives this model a maximum towing capacity of 4,500 pounds. This surprising SUV is worth learning more about.

Four Trim Levels

The Blazer’s trims begin with the 2LT and move up to the 3LT, adding a power-programmable liftgate. This trim level also adds additional safety assist technology, including a rear cross-traffic alert and a lane change alert. The RS trim level adds perforated leather seating with red accents. It also adds black exterior accents, including Chevy bowties and stylized grille.

The top trim level is the Premier, which adds silver roof rails and chrome accents throughout its design. It also adds perforated leather-appointed seating that includes suede microfiber accents. These accents can be found in either jet black or jet black combined with maple sugar.

Engines

The standard engine is a 2.0-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder design that delivers up to 228 horsepower and 258 lb.-ft of torque. The Blazer averages 29 miles to the gallon on the highway with this engine. This is the standard setup on the 2LT, 3LT, and Premier models.

There is an available 3.6-liter V6 engine that produces up to 308 horsepower and 270 lb.-ft of torque. This is the standard engine on the RS and is available for the 3LT and Premier trim levels.

Maximum Towing Capacity

With the V6 engine, the Blazer has a maximum towing capacity of 4,500 pounds. To achieve this, the SUV needs to be equipped with the available trailering package.

Advanced Safety Assist Technology

Every trim level comes standard with Chevy’s safety assist package with six features. These advanced technologies start off with an automatic emergency braking feature and add front pedestrian braking. The standard package also includes a forward collision alert, following distance indicator, and lane keep assist with a lane departure warning. Drivers will also enjoy IntelliBeam, Chevrolet’s automatic high beam feature.

Infotainment

One of the features that really draws people to take a closer look at the Blazer is its touchscreen. The system is connected to the cloud, so you can take advantage of personalization settings.

Drivers can add navigation to the 3LT. Navigation comes standard on the RS and Premier trim levels. A six-speaker sound system is standard on the 2LT and 3LT. An upgraded eight-speaker Bose sound system is standard on the RS and Premier.
